Social Media Addiction Effects on Well-Being among Tertiary School Graders an Empirical Study in Viaskhapatnam

Psychological well-being has become one of the crucial aspects of modern psychology. It has attracted not only psychologists but also medical practitioners in compliance with the mental health, emotions, depression, stress, etc. of the individual’s academic and social life. Right from the existence of behavioral sciences, efforts have been made by researchers of different disciplines to get a deep understanding of the various and different dimensions and correlates of psychological well-being. Social media platforms are an online association site where individuals cooperate to construct, offer and change their thought and remarks concerning any data. Over the past decade, online long distance social networking communication has brought significant changes in the way people communicate and collaborate.

The study aimed to determine the impact of social media’s early health issues such as student depression and anxiety.

A descriptive study was conducted among Tertiary level educated students in Visakhapatnam with a sample of 130 respondents. It included questions on demographical information, the pattern of social networking usage, social relationship, and health effects.

Results: Present study results found that there is a significant association between time spent on social media and the number of social networking apps. There is a positive correlation between Depression feelings with serious active on social networking apps than in real life.

Conclusion: This study concludes that more usage of social networking sites is affecting the Tertiary school student’s well-being such as depression and anxiety.

Cardiovascular Considerations in COVID-19: A Brief Overview

The spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) led to a world-shattering pandemic which impacted humanity in a severe manner. Research suggests that coronavirus has multiorgan effects. It has brought together researchers of all fields who are trying to understand the pathophysiology of the disease and define most select treatment strategies. Pre-existing comorbidities such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease (CVD) and diabetes are linked with a higher mortality rate of COVID-19. With its widespread effects and different strains, there is escalating apprehension about the cardiovascular effects of the viral infection, like myocarditis, thrombosis and arrhythmias, and its relation with existing CVD and heart related problems. The cardiovascular manifestations of COVID-19 need to be understood well for cardiologists and other health workers to be able to diagnose and treat them in the upcoming time.

Use of Tactile Diagrams in Learning Science for Visually Impaired Students at Upper Primary Stage

The NCERT textbooks of Science at upper primary stage are available in Braille script not including any graphics, diagrams and activities  as a result, it has been a challenge for student with visual impairment to ‘create in your mind’ the content specified in Braille textbooks. This challenge has been addressed by NCERT, Department of Education in Science & Mathematics (DESM) to overcome such limitations. DESM has taken the initiative of given those tactile books for Science at the upper primary stage. It will smooth the progress of learning science for visually impaired students. NCERT developed tactile book in science in cooperation with Raised line foundation using 3D technology. In this paper, we are discussing about tactile book in science at upper primary stage.

The more population grows, the more the food demand required. In this case, soybean, due to the less production compared to rice. In order to support food self-sufficiency and soybean demands, tropical legumes are cultivated due to its nutritional content which is similar to soybean. The local Indonesian plant, jack bean has adaptive properties to sub-optimal land. It can adapt to various cultivation systems, high productivity, and similarity of nutritional content to soybean. It has quite unique adaptations which can grow its upright stems or grows vines, depends to the environment, and relatively shorter age than another type local bean plants. Jack bean seeds can be further processed into tempeh, powder, bakpia (Indonesian traditional sweet cake which using nuts for the filling), and various cakes as a substitute for soybean, mung bean, and wheat. Therefore, the jack bean plant has a great potential as food self-sufficient Indonesia’s program.

Cupping Therapy (CT) is popular as ʻAl-Hijamaʼ in Egypt and Arabic countries which is an ancient traditional method which is practiced for the treatment of various medical conditions, especially claims to be a potential remedy in pain related diseases. Basically, this therapy is an integrated part of the Complementary and alternative medicine, it has got utmost popularity in Unani system of medicine too. So far, several theories and hypothesis have been put forwarded to explain the effects produced by the cupping therapy. Non-medical Factors Affecting the Decision of Caesarean: A Study through Path Analysis

When life-threatening conditions occur during pregnancy or childbirth, Caesarean section (CS) is among the most important procedures for protecting the lives of mothers and babies [1]. Non-medical causes have been proposed as primary contributors to excessive CS [2]. Over the last few decades, global CS concentrations have gradually increased [3]. Aside from the potential for negative health consequences, unnecessary CS places a significant financial burden on individuals, families, and society as a whole. The expenditure of post-pregnancy clinical consideration and cross as a result of prolonged CS is projected to be around US$ 2.32 billion globally. We looked at variables like education, occupation, wealth index, respondent’s media exposure, and child alive in this project, all of which have a major causal association with our dependent variable CS delivery. Based on the BDHS 2017-18 data, we used path analysis to look at the cultural and racial factors that influence the choice of CS in Bangladesh. For this, we used the SPSS AMOS program. Aside from binary logistic analysis, multivariate analysis was performed. Furthermore, correlation was used to identify the variables that had the greatest impact on the choice of CS.

The government’s efforts to continue to develop the teaching profession as a strong and respected profession in line with other professions can be seen from the issuance of Law No. 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers who seek to develop the teaching profession through legal protection. The government has made efforts to improve the professionalism of teachers, including increasing the qualifications and requirements for higher education levels for teaching staff from the school level to tertiary institutions. Other efforts made by the government are the certification program and the establishment of the PKG (Teacher Activity Center), MGMP (Subject Teacher Consultation) and KKG (Teacher Working Group).The important thing and needs to be done by the government is to build self-reliance among teachers.

Sleeping Disorders as a Symptom of Depression

Recently, people pay less attention to their sleep since there are a lot of stimulants to keep them awake more than sleeping. According to many reports, the results have shown that many are facing a serious condition, which is sleeping disorder.  This condition is related to sleep and affects the ability to sleep well on a regular basis. It is a serious problem that if left untreated, the condition can lead to many more severe problems. There is a significant correlation between sleeping disorder and depression which is called “bidirectional relationship”. The studies show that sleeping disorders are a “symptom” of almost all types of depression such as Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Seasonal Affective Disorder and so forth. On the other hand, depression itself can also be a cause of sleeping disorders. In addition, the studies show chronic sleep deprivation can cause the changes in Serotonin, which is the brain’s neurotransmitter, and will have a chance to lead to depression greater than acute sleep deprivation. As a result, people should raise awareness in sleeping and usually examine their sleep. To have less chance of depression, a person requires a healthy sleep period and effective care.

Online shopping is the biggest part of customer attraction as well as customer satisfaction. In today’s technology environment, most businesses rely on internet purchasing to both please their consumers and attract new ones. The effects of online shopping on improving customer satisfaction are the subject of this study report. The study also sought to determine the effects of online shopping on improving customer satisfaction in retail establishments. The research tasks entailed an ethical construction of a questionnaire keeping in view the research topic and tasks at hand. The construction of the survey was done keeping multiple touch points in consideration. Extensive research was done to identify the most prominent issues in the realm of online shopping. The survey was constructed based on these observations and was then circulated to a group of 100 respondents of varying ages, genders, and from different physical locations. Likert scales were used to gather experience-based data from all respondents. After being working on the research, we have come to learn that customer satisfaction plays a vital role in how the choices of people to shop online. Websites offering online shopping must have good customer services and user-friendly applications or websites to be easily accessible to the public and therefore making them prefer online shopping over in-person shopping. The study also revealed that online shopping has a variety of consequences (age and gender) and according to the analysis, online shopping assists in good quality, access, and comfort, resulting in increased customer satisfaction.
