The success of these companies hinges on employee performance, influenced by factors like psychological well-being, work environment, and organizational culture. In Indonesia, the IT outsourcing industry is rapidly transforming due to increasing demand for digital solutions and technology experts. Companies strive to provide faster, more efficient services while being flexible and adaptable. The IT services market revenue in Indonesia is expected to grow from $4.89 billion in 2023 to $9.07 billion in 2028, driven by digital transformation, supportive government policies, and increased IT infrastructure investments. PT IT Expert System (PT IES), established in 2010, provides IT services like software development and IT outsourcing. Despite sector growth, PT IES’s financial performance has declined, with monthly revenue dropping from Rp. 220 million to Rp. 140 million, affecting liquidity and leading to debt for paying salaries. This financial strain is partly due to 46% of their IT professionals being idle and a lack of software development projects. The research aims to identify the main causes of PT IES’s business problems, determine an appropriate performance management system framework, and establish suitable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The root cause identified is the absence of a performance management system, leading to an ineffective appraisal system and poor decision-making. The Balanced Scorecard framework is recommended for PT IES, translating strategic objectives into measurable processes across four perspectives. This framework streamlines performance evaluation and forecasting. The Balanced Scorecard framework proposal includes 4 perspectives, 9 strategic themes, and 18 strategies with key objectives. Barriers and Challenges in Implementing Clinical Pathway of Sectio Caesarea for Health Workers in a Private Hospital

Clinical pathway (CP) is one of the requirements required in hospital accreditation standards. It has an important role in controlling quality, and costs and supporting patient safety, especially in cases that have the potential to consume large amounts of resources, one of which is a sectio cesarean (SC). Apart from being able to reduce maternal mortality due to normal childbirth, SC procedures can also cause post-operative injuries. This research explores the barriers and challenges to implementing the sectio caesarean clinical pathway among health workers in hospitals. This qualitative case study research recruited 10 informants consisting of 3 obstetricians, 2 executive nurses, the head of the inpatient room, the head of the operating room, the deputy director of medical services, and 2 patients who had undergone SC at the hospital purposively. In-depth interviews were conducted in March 2024 at a private hospital in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia. Thematic analysis was used for data analysis. Several themes emerged as obstacles to the implementation of CP SC in this research, namely: 1) individuals, 2) patients, 3) infrastructure, and 4) hospital management support. Apart from that, the challenges faced include the need to carry out socialization, monitoring, and evaluation activities, as well as collaborative activities between health workers and hospitals to share experiences to increase compliance in implementing CP SC. Hospital management is expected to provide regular outreach, training, and personal approaches to health workers regarding the implementation of CP SC. Collaboration between professionals and hospitals is also needed to share experiences regarding the implementation of sectio caesarean clinical pathways in hospitals.

Development of Wound Gauze from Hylocereus undatus Dragon Fruit (Pigment) Peel Extract

The dragon fruit peels (Hylocereus undatus) are typically thrown away as agricultural waste. The disposal of bio-wastes, like peels from dragon fruit and microbiological contamination during their mass breakdown, all contribute to environmental degradation. Peel can be used to extract naturally occurring colour for pigments. The objective of this study is to investigate the feasibility of using the peel of Hylocereus undatus as a coating material for wound healing. The extraction method and potential uses of the pigments derived from the peel will be explored. The study aimed to determine the phytochemical components of Hylocereus undatus (peel) extract and the peel can be utilized as a raw material for pigment extraction due to the betalain content. With the use of a magnetic stirrer extraction, the peel of Hylocereus undatus was extracted with aqueous extraction. Thin layer chromatographic techniques are used to identify the pigment components. In the present study, we recorded both UV-VIS and FT-IR profile of peel extract to known the various phytoconstituents and determine the functional group present in Hylocereus undatus (white dragon fruit). The pigment needs to be applied to the wound gauze, and the stain resistance should be evaluated by determining how well the wound gauze can withstand contamination from the outside coating. Furthermore, the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical sectors are interested in Hylocereus undatus peel due to its components, which may have potential health applications such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-cancer characteristics

Legal Efforts of the Indonesian Government for the Protection of Marine Resources Due to Damage to Marine Ecosystems by Fishermen

As a huge maritime country, Indonesia has tremendous potential for marine resources. Indonesia is the largest tropical marine country in the world and has the largest biodiversity in the sea. The potential of marine biological resources in Indonesian waters has always been able to provide optimal benefits for the economic and socio-cultural development of the community. However, many fishermen conduct fishing easily and destructively (destructively fishing) of marine ecosystems using fishing gear that is not environmentally friendly to meet the demand for fish needs.  The perpetrators use Dupont Lannate chemicals containing Methomil with mashed fish and then spread it into the sea, then pick up the dead fish.  The use of chemical poisons can kill the animals that make up the coral so that the coral becomes discolored which eventually dies and other fish that are not targeted also die. Therefore in this study, the author examines law enforcement in Indonesia’s marine territory to protect the biodiversity of Indonesia’s marine areas. this study uses a Normative research type that examines national and international legal arrangements regarding the protection of the marine environment. Therefore researchers examine the regulation and effectiveness of law enforcement in Indonesia.
