The Influence of Non-Physical Work Environment, Work-Life Balance, and Work Discipline on Employee Turnover Intention: A Quantitative Study of Employees at PT Bhumi Phala Perkasa

Human Resources (HR) play a pivotal role in the success and sustainability of a company amid the ever-evolving business dynamics. Effective HR management can positively impact employee turnover rates. One company experiencing a high rate of turnover intention is PT Bhumi Phala Perkasa. Based on the company’s turnover rate data, it was 13.01% in 2020, decreased to 10.98% in 2021, but increased to 13.51% in 2022. In 2023, with data obtained up to September 2023, the turnover rate was 12.77%. Given this phenomenon, this study aims to determine the influence of non-physical work environment, work-life balance, and work discipline on turnover intention. This research phenomenon was explored using a questionnaire method. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to several employees at the company. The analysis technique used is the SEM-PLS method. The analysis results show that the non-physical work environment, work-life balance, and work discipline have a significant negative impact on turnover intention. This means that the higher the influence of the non-physical work environment, work-life balance, and work discipline, the lower the level of employee turnover intention at PT. Bhumi Phala Perkasa. This research is expected to be useful for company management. The findings of this study can help PT Bhumi Phala Perkasa in efforts to suppress turnover intention through the non-physical work environment, work-life balance, and work discipline. In general, with the results of this research, the organization can understand and identify the needs and desires of employees, which can be used as a consideration and evaluation for the organization comprehensively in formulating human resource management policies in the organization in the future.

The Influence of Teamwork and Work Environment on Service Quality through Job Satisfaction

Optimal service for public service users is a necessity for increasing citizen satisfaction. The determinant of service quality lies in employee performance. There are several factors that influence service quality, including team work, work environment and job satisfaction. This research aims to: examine the influence of team work and the work environment on job satisfaction; examine the influence of team work, work environment and job satisfaction on service quality; and examine the influence of teamwork and work environment on service quality through job satisfaction.

The population of this study was 49 Civil Servants (PNS) of the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Service, Mojokerto Regency, East Java. Meanwhile, determining the sample size uses a saturated sampling technique, that is, the entire population is taken as a sample. Meanwhile, data collection uses a questionnaire distributed to respondents. The data analysis technique uses SEM PLS.

The research results show that: (1) teamwork and the work environment have a significant effect on job satisfaction; (2) team work, work environment, and job satisfaction have a significant effect on service quality; and (3) teamwork and the work environment influence service quality through job satisfaction but are not significant. For this reason, if the management of the Mojokerto Regency One Stop Investment and Integrated Services Department seeks to improve the quality of service to citizens, this can be done by strengthening teamwork and creating a conducive work environment for employees.

The Effect of School Facilities and Work Environment on the Performance of State Madrasah Tsanawiyah Teachers in Tapin District

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of school facilities and infrastructure as well as the work environment on the performance of State Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTsN) teachers in Tapin Regency. This research uses quantitative methods with a correlational research type. The research population was 152 people from five MTsN throughout Tapin Regency, namely MTsN 1 Tapin, MTsN 2 Tapin, MTsN 3 Tapin, MTsN 4 Tapin, MTsN 5 Tapin and MTsN 6 Tapin. The research sample consisted of 70 people. The sampling technique in this research is simple random sampling. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using correlation analysis and multiple regression techniques. The research results show that: (1) School Facilities and Infrastructure have a significant effect on the performance of MTsN teachers in Tapin Regency; (2) The work environment has a significant effect on the performance of MTsN teachers in Tapin Regency; (3) School facilities and infrastructure as well as the work environment simultaneously have a significant influence on the performance of MTsN teachers in Tapin Regency.

The Influence of Job Stress and Work Environment on Employee Performance at PT Majuperkasa Indonesia in Bati-Bati, Tanah Laut Regency

Employee performance is the most important part in supporting every company performance activity, so every employee needs to be aware that they have a responsibility to the company for the results of their work. This research aims to examine the influence of work stress and the work environment partially and simultaneously on employee performance and to look for variables that dominantly influence the performance of PT Majuperkasa Indonesia employees in Bati-bati, Tanah Laut Regency. This type of research is quantitative, the population in this sample are employees of PT Majuperkasa Indonesia. Determining the number of samples used the Slovin method with a sample size of 74 respondents. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and distribution of questionnaires. The instrument used was a Likert scale model questionnaire with the data analysis used was multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this research indicate that work stress does not have a significant effect on the performance of PT Majuperkasa Indonesia employees, while the work environment has a significant effect on the performance of PT Majuperkasa Indonesia employees. Work stress and the work environment simultaneously influence the performance of PT Majuperkasa Indonesia employees. The work environment has a dominant influence on the performance of PT Majuperkasa Indonesia employees.

Impact Analysis of Work Environment Mediated by Job Satisfaction on Employee Performance (Case Study Asuransi Siap)

Individual and organizational performance are substantially influenced by the work environment. This paper aims to investigate the impact of the work environment on employee performance at PT. Asuransi Siap, as mediated by job satisfaction. This research aimed to determine which elements of the physical or non-physical work environment had the greatest influence on Employee Performance and to establish the relationship between Work Environment, Job Satisfaction, and Employee Performance. On the other hand, Job Satisfaction as a mediator variable has four dimensions consists Compensation, Working Conditions, Relation Within the Company, and Promotion and Development. Employee Performance dimensions consist of Quantity, Quality, Timeliness, Presence, and Ability to Cooperate.

This study uses quantitative and qualitative research methods to collect primary data from companies using questionnaires sent to 110 respondents at the head office of PT. Asuransi Siap, and the author interviews company employees who are considered to be able to provide an overview for the author. In addition, secondary data are obtained from literature reviews from previous studies.

According to research finding, the non-physical work environment has a considerable influence on employee performance. Employees agree that elements such as positive company relations, positive interaction with supervisors or executive management, and recognition from superiors have a greater impact on employee performance than physical aspects like as lighting, temperature, etc. Although it is indisputable that the physical work environment can also influence employee performance.

The Influence of Work Motivation and Work Environment on Employee Performance at the Labuhan Batu District Education Office with Work Discipline as Intervening Variables

Human resources are very important for companies or government agencies in managing, organizing, and utilizing employees, so that they can function productively to achieve the goals of the company or government institution. Human resources in companies or government institutions need to be managed professionally in order to realize a balance between the needs of employees and the demands and capabilities of the company’s organization. This study aims to determine whether work motivation and work environment affect employee performance through work discipline as an intervening variable at the Labuhanbatu District Education Office. The study was conducted on 61 employees using saturated sampling techniques. The data collection techniques used are primary data in the form of questionnaires and secondary data obtained through documentation studies. The data analysis technique uses quantitative data processed with the SPSS version 25 program, namely t test, sobel test and path analysis. The results obtained in this study show that 1) there is a significant influence between work motivation on work discipline, 2) there is a significant influence between work environment variables on work discipline, 3) there is a significant influence between work motivation variables on performance, 4) there is a significant influence between work environment variables on performance, 5) there is a significant influence between work discipline variables on performance,  6) work discipline variables cannot affect work motivation variables to performance, 7) work discipline variables cannot affect work environment variables to performance.

The Effect of Work Stress and Work Environment on Work Spirit through Discipline Work in the Service of Population and Civil Registration District Labuhan Batu

An organization in carrying out its activities to achieve the desired goals needs good management, especially human resources. Human resources are the main capital in planning, organizing, directing and driving factors that exist within a company. Good human resource management is expected to be able to produce optimal performance for the organization. This study aims to determine whether work stress and work environment affect employee morale through work discipline as an intervening variable at the Labuhanbatu District Education Office . The research was conducted on 36 employees using a saturated sampling technique. The data collection technique used was primary data in the form of questionnaires and secondary data obtained through documentation studies. The data analysis technique used quantitative data which was processed using the SPSS version 25 program, namely the t test, Sobel test and path analysis. The results obtained in this study show 1) there is a significant effect between work stress on work discipline , 2) there is a significant effect between work environment variables on work discipline , 3) there is a significant effect between work stress variables on morale , 4) there is a significant effect between work environment variables on work morale , 5) there is a significant influence between work discipline variables on work morale , 6) work discipline variables cannot influence work stress variables on morale , 7) work discipline variables cannot influence work environment variables on morale.

The Influence of Situational Leadership, Work Environment, Competence, and Motivation on Employee Job Satisfaction at the National Library of Indonesia

This study aims to determine the effect of situational leadership, work environment, competence, and motivation on employee satisfaction at the National Library. The research population is the National Library employees who work in the Deputy for Library Material Development and Information Services, with a total sample of 195 people. The design of this research is quantitative research with a data analysis method using multiple linear regression. The results of the study state that situational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction, the work environment has a positive and significant impact on employee job satisfaction, competence has a positive and significant impact on employee job satisfaction, and motivation has a positive and significant impact on employee job satisfaction. Situational leadership, work environment, competence and motivation together have a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction.
