Adaptive Work Discipline in the Digital Era: The Roles of Work Climate, Job Satisfaction, and Work Culture in Higher Education Institution

The transformation of work landscapes due to digitalization and post-pandemic dynamics demands organizations, including higher education institutions, to create a conducive, satisfying, and positive work environment in order to support employee discipline. This study aims to analyze the influence of work climate, job satisfaction, and work culture on the work discipline of employees at Pancasakti University, Tegal. This quantitative research involved a population of 139 employees, with a sample of 58 respondents selected through proportional random sampling. Primary data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed with multiple linear regression. All data processing and statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS version 23. The results indicate that work climate, job satisfaction, and work culture significantly influence work discipline, both partially and simultaneously, contributing 83.1% to the variance of work discipline. These findings emphasize the importance of improving work climate, enhancing job satisfaction, and strengthening work culture as strategies for promoting employee discipline in higher education institutions, especially in the context of flexible and technology-based work practices.

The Influence of Work Discipline, Leadership Style, and Procedural Justice on the Performance of Employees of the Regional Environmental Agency of Karanganyar Regional

This study aims to examine the extent to which work discipline, leadership style, and procedural justice influence the performance of employees at the Environmental Agency of Karanganyar Regency. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed, involving the entire population of 84 employees as the research sample. Primary data were gathered through questionnaires completed by all respondents, supported by field observations as part of the data collection techniques. The results reveal that each variable work discipline, leadership style, and procedural justice—has a positive and significant individual impact on employee performance. Collectively, these three variables also contribute significantly to performance improvement, accounting for 60.7% of the variation in employee performance. Further analysis indicates that work discipline has the most substantial influence. Therefore, it is recommended that the Environmental Agency of Karanganyar consistently enforce discipline policies and provide regular training to enhance employee performance.

The Influence of Non-Physical Work Environment, Work-Life Balance, and Work Discipline on Employee Turnover Intention: A Quantitative Study of Employees at PT Bhumi Phala Perkasa

Human Resources (HR) play a pivotal role in the success and sustainability of a company amid the ever-evolving business dynamics. Effective HR management can positively impact employee turnover rates. One company experiencing a high rate of turnover intention is PT Bhumi Phala Perkasa. Based on the company’s turnover rate data, it was 13.01% in 2020, decreased to 10.98% in 2021, but increased to 13.51% in 2022. In 2023, with data obtained up to September 2023, the turnover rate was 12.77%. Given this phenomenon, this study aims to determine the influence of non-physical work environment, work-life balance, and work discipline on turnover intention. This research phenomenon was explored using a questionnaire method. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to several employees at the company. The analysis technique used is the SEM-PLS method. The analysis results show that the non-physical work environment, work-life balance, and work discipline have a significant negative impact on turnover intention. This means that the higher the influence of the non-physical work environment, work-life balance, and work discipline, the lower the level of employee turnover intention at PT. Bhumi Phala Perkasa. This research is expected to be useful for company management. The findings of this study can help PT Bhumi Phala Perkasa in efforts to suppress turnover intention through the non-physical work environment, work-life balance, and work discipline. In general, with the results of this research, the organization can understand and identify the needs and desires of employees, which can be used as a consideration and evaluation for the organization comprehensively in formulating human resource management policies in the organization in the future.

An Analysis of the Role of Work Motivation and Work Discipline in Improving Employee Performance: Job Satisfaction as a Mediating Factor (Case study on PT Prima Sejati Sejahtera I)

This study analyzes how worker motivation and discipline affect performance through job satisfaction. Using primary data, this study is quantitative. This study took a sample of all workers totaling 48 people because the population was below 100. Path analysis and multiple linear regression are used. The hypothesis of this study produces the following conclusions: work motivation, discipline, and job satisfaction improve employee performance at PT Prima Sejati Sejahtera I. Work motivation and discipline increase job satisfaction in employees. PT Prima Sejati Sejahtera I workers will be more productive when job satisfaction is high, because they can moderate the relationship between work motivation and work discipline.

The Influence of Coordination and Leadership Quality on Work Discipline of Employees in the Department of Food Security, Agriculture, and Fisheries in South Barito Regency

This study aims to examine the effect of coordination and leadership quality on work discipline of emmployees in the Department of Food Security, Agriculture, and Fisheries in South Barito Regency. The population in this study consists of all employees of the Food Security, Agriculture, and Fisheries Department of South Barito Regency, totaling 315 individuals. As the population in this study is more than 100 individuals, a random sampling method is employed based on the Slovin formula to streamline the time and cost of the research. Data were analyzed using Multiple Regression Analysis. The results of this study are Coordination has an effect on Work Discipline of employees, Leadership quality has an effect on work discipline of employee in the Department of Food Security, Agriculture, and Fisheries in South Barito Regency.

E-Leadership: Unveiling the Role of Digital Era Leadership in Enhancing Employee Performance in Higher Education Institution

This study examines the role of E-Leadership, a leadership concept in the digital era on employee performance in higher education institutions. It investigates the impact of management information systems, digital culture, and work discipline. The research methodology is Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The sample consists of 120 participants who work as Educational Staff at Pancasakti University, Tegal, Indonesia. Data analysis uses the SmartPLS v.4 software with the Second Order method. The findings of the study indicate that: 1) management information system has a positive impact on employee performance, 2) digital culture has a positive impact on employee performance, 3) work discipline has a positive impact on employee performance, 4) E-Leadership moderates the influence of management information systems on employee performance, 5) E-Leadership does not moderate the influence of digital culture on employee performance, and 6) E-Leadership does not moderate the influence of work discipline on employee performance.

 

The Influence of Work Motivation and Work Environment on Employee Performance at the Labuhan Batu District Education Office with Work Discipline as Intervening Variables

Human resources are very important for companies or government agencies in managing, organizing, and utilizing employees, so that they can function productively to achieve the goals of the company or government institution. Human resources in companies or government institutions need to be managed professionally in order to realize a balance between the needs of employees and the demands and capabilities of the company’s organization. This study aims to determine whether work motivation and work environment affect employee performance through work discipline as an intervening variable at the Labuhanbatu District Education Office. The study was conducted on 61 employees using saturated sampling techniques. The data collection techniques used are primary data in the form of questionnaires and secondary data obtained through documentation studies. The data analysis technique uses quantitative data processed with the SPSS version 25 program, namely t test, sobel test and path analysis. The results obtained in this study show that 1) there is a significant influence between work motivation on work discipline, 2) there is a significant influence between work environment variables on work discipline, 3) there is a significant influence between work motivation variables on performance, 4) there is a significant influence between work environment variables on performance, 5) there is a significant influence between work discipline variables on performance,  6) work discipline variables cannot affect work motivation variables to performance, 7) work discipline variables cannot affect work environment variables to performance.

The Effect of Work Stress and Work Environment on Work Spirit through Discipline Work in the Service of Population and Civil Registration District Labuhan Batu

An organization in carrying out its activities to achieve the desired goals needs good management, especially human resources. Human resources are the main capital in planning, organizing, directing and driving factors that exist within a company. Good human resource management is expected to be able to produce optimal performance for the organization. This study aims to determine whether work stress and work environment affect employee morale through work discipline as an intervening variable at the Labuhanbatu District Education Office . The research was conducted on 36 employees using a saturated sampling technique. The data collection technique used was primary data in the form of questionnaires and secondary data obtained through documentation studies. The data analysis technique used quantitative data which was processed using the SPSS version 25 program, namely the t test, Sobel test and path analysis. The results obtained in this study show 1) there is a significant effect between work stress on work discipline , 2) there is a significant effect between work environment variables on work discipline , 3) there is a significant effect between work stress variables on morale , 4) there is a significant effect between work environment variables on work morale , 5) there is a significant influence between work discipline variables on work morale , 6) work discipline variables cannot influence work stress variables on morale , 7) work discipline variables cannot influence work environment variables on morale.
