Increasing the Adoption of Performance Management Application at PT. Kaltim Prima Coal

Traditional performance management systems often suffer from bureaucracy and inefficiency in providing timely feedback and support (Awan et al., 2020). To address these issues, KPC implemented Entomo, a performance management platform with advanced features like goal creation, progress tracking, continuous feedback, and data analytics. This technology-driven approach aims to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of performance management practices. KPC’s Entomo implementation provides an opportunity to research the adoption of performance management system technology. This study evaluates KPC’s experiences, identifies factors with a positive and significant relationship with the application and performance management application, and offers recommendations to enhance the performance management system.

The research employed the technology acceptance model (Davis et al., 1989) and a quantitative approach using questionnaires. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed several important insights. The findings indicate that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and attitude toward using are key determinants of the intention to use the technology or system. Notably, attitude toward using has the strongest influence on users’ intention to adopt and use the system, followed by perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. The research suggests that organizations should prioritize improving user attitudes, enhancing perceived usefulness, and ensuring the system is easy to use when implementing new performance management applications to drive successful adoption.

Influence of Purchase Decision for An Advanced Production Digital Platform Adoption Process in The Coal Industry: The Investigation Using Pls-Sem Analysis

In 2022, the coal-producing sector faced unusual difficulties, which were paralleled by a significant rise in global pricing. The business is too complex for the the most advanced technologies, especially when it comes to figuring out the best blend scenarios. This calls for a comprehensive approach that combines modern technology with careful consideration to support companies in surviving in a competitive and unpredictable commercial environment. Over the past few years, industries have been seeking technological advancement in an effort to improve operating procedures and efficiency, but these innovations still face challenges in being broadly accepted and adopted. In order to determine the primary characteristics that most significantly promote technology adoption, this study combines the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) with purchasing decision theory. The main tool used to collect data is structured questionnaires, which are given to respondents who fulfill predetermined requirements. The replies are gathered, and the SmartPLS 4.0.9.9 software is used to handle them.  According to the study, behavioral intention and behavior manner use are not significantly mediated by unanticipated situational events or other people’s attitudes that align with purchase decision theory. Additionally, users’ use of behavior to adopt digital production platforms in the coal mine business is positively impacted by behavioral intention. Policymakers could consider encouraging all staff members on a regular basis to help them develop a positive mindset, which will enhance their usage behavior.

Considerations in the Adoption of Solar Home System Technology in Indonesia

The high potential for solar energy in Indonesia has prompted the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia to aim for solar energy utilization. Unfortunately, since it was planned in 2010, the target has not been achieved due to the low interest of society to purchase and use solar home systems.

Using the Technology-Personal-Environment (TPE) framework, this study aims to identify the factors that are being considered in the adoption of solar home system technology and understand the interest of the Indonesian people in repurchasing it. The data for the study were obtained through in-depth interviews with eight participants.

The study found that most participants do not consider perceived simplicity, but they consider perceived compatibility, regulations, technology support providers, performance expectations, and personal innovation. It was found that trust is also considered by participants. Additionally, they consider Regulations, Need/Urgency, Price, Technology Specifications, and Maintenance in repurchasing solar home systems. A new model proposed which exchange the perceived simplicity from technology context by trust in personal context.

It is recommended that renewable energy companies disseminate information about solar home systems through targeted websites, social media, and advertisements. Moreover, it is recommended that the government enact regulations that can support the use of solar home systems, such as providing incentives, subsidizing its materials, and building domestic factories that can produce the materials. Finally, it is recommended that further studies use other research methods, test new variables, and us the proposed models.

Key Factors Influencing the Adoption of Building Information Modeling at PT. Penta Rekayasa

This study aims to uncover key factors influencing adoption process of BIM technology in an engineering consultant firm, Penta Rekayasa. The research employs mixed-methods approach combining quantitative analysis and qualitative input from industry experts and user judgement. A comprehensive of reviewing existing literature used to design a conceptual framework. A modified Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) chosen as a main landing theory to design conceptual framework. Additionally, seven main constructs identified to influence usage behavior along with seven hypotheses proposed: Performance Expectancy (PE), Effort Expectancy (EE), Social Influence (SI), Organizational Support (OS), Resistance to Change (RC), Facilitating Condition (FC) and Behavioral Intention (BI). Primary data is collected using questionnaire and semi-structure interview, further analysis is carried out utilizing SmartPLS software’s Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) and thematic analysis for interview analysis. The findings demonstrate that four major constructs are regarded as influencing factors in the Penta BIM adoption process: Performance Expectancy (PE), Effort Expectancy (EE), Resistance to Change (RC), and Behavioral Intention (BI). Other three are neither supported as the path coefficient, p-values and t-values threshold is exceed. The result of thematic analysis using Braun & Clarke’s six-phase framework show three main problems arises that negatively influence the adoption process: Social influence and organizational support – unsupportive figure; Resistance to change – Penta’s employee resist to change; and facilitating condition – socialization and training importance. Based on user judgement, theories or practical article, and expert opinion; business solutions are proposed: Develop training and development system that can be used for BIM and future training; budgeting external education include seminar or bootcamp; Held internal meeting with stakeholders to increase the employee engagement and aligned goals with high management profile figure. For a long-term goal, Penta may also consider to develop BIM division in order to increase the speed of project completion. Lastly, the actionable schedule of implementation plan is proposed based on internal recommendation, project design life cycle, and working schedule to ensure the effectiveness of the program.

The Analysis of the “Buy Now, Pay Later” Use Intention in Indonesia

The Rapid technological and informational advancements have an effect on the financial industries. One of its offerings is financial technology, sometimes known as fintech. In 2018, a number of fintech startups introduced products that enable clients to make installment payments without credit cards. This is referred to as Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL). Then, numerous technology firms, such as Traveloka, Shopee, and Gojek, embrace this approach to round out their payment alternatives. The market for BNPL in Indonesia is quite promising. Demand for BNPL is quite high, as seen by the rapid expansion of BNPL providers in Indonesia. Many companies, including Traveloka, Gojek, Shopee, and others, demonstrated a rise in BNPL product usage. Using the Technology Readiness and Acceptance Model, this study examines the Buy Now, Pay Later usage intent (TRAM). This study concludes that technology readiness, perceived usefulness, and perceived simplicity of use influence the intention to use a BNPL product, with perceived usefulness having the most direct impact on users’ intentions.
