Biomotor Skills in Pencak Silat Extracurricular Students at SMP Negeri 5 Tanjung Selor

In the pencak silat sport, biomotors are really needed to support the required movements. This research aims to determine the biomotor skills of pencak silat extracurricular students at SMP Negeri 5 Tanjung Selor. The type of research used is descriptive research with test and measurement methods. The sample used in this research was 22 students. The data collection technique in this research uses performance tests with biomotor test instruments used, namely 1) speed, 2) strength, 3) flexibility, 4) explosive power, 5) agility, and 6) endurance. The results of the study showed that overall biomotor skills were 1 student or 4.55% in the Very Good category, 5 students or 27.73% were in the Good category, there were 10 students or 45.45% in the Medium category, there were 4 students or 18.18% were in the Poor category, there were 2 students or 9.09% in the Very Poor category. So it can be concluded that the biomotor skills of pencak silat extracurricular students at SMP Negeri 5 Tanjung Selor are in the Medium category, a percentage of 45.45% or 10 students

Application of the Project Based Learning Model in Improving Creativity and Entrepreneurial Skills for Independent Entrepreneur Students at the Kupang Negeri Polytechnic Campus

Implementation of the Independent Curriculum requires that lecturers carry out learning and teach students using a student-centered learning model. Project Based Learning (PjBL) is a studentcentered learning method.

Entrepreneurship is a science that emphasizes attitudes and creativity, where creativity is a skill needed in the digital era.

The Merdeka entrepreneurship program is one of the independent learning programs in the Merdeka learning curriculum at the Merdeka campus as a certified independent entrepreneurship development program to prepare individuals who are competent in developing businesses. Learning is used with a project based learning model. This learning activity includes individual and team learning. The aim of the research is to determine the process of implementing the project based learning model in increasing students’ creativity and skills in making business products and the results of increasing students’ creativity and skills in making business products through the project based learning model in learning creative product entrepreneurship courses for the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year.

This research is classroom action research with a project based learning model. The research subjects were students in the 6th semester of the Public Sector Accounting study program, totaling 100 students. Implementation from April to August 2023, consisting of 3 cycles, with stages: “Observation, Planning-Action & Reflection”. Actions are carried out by researchers and collaborators who are tasked with observing and recording any existing developments. The data collection method used is observation. Data analysis was carried out by measuring the creativity and skills of the product results of several types of businesses, namely by presenting them in the form of tables and percentages. The research results show that initial observations show that many groups still lack creativity and skill. In implementing the project based learning (PJBL) method, students experience an increase in their creative thinking and skills after being given action. Increased creativity in making student business products in learning creative products and entrepreneurship in semester 6 2022/2023 amounted to 84.66%, and increased skills in making student business products amounted to 81,25%. The description above shows that the project based learning (PJBL) method can increase student creativity and skills in learning creative products and entrepreneurship.

A Prospective Study of Future Jobs and Skills Considering the Requirements of Security Work Systems

Modern security work systems will depend on advanced methods of successful institutional performance through the availability of a set of basic requirements, the most important of which are forward-looking studies of the jobs and skills necessary for future security cadres in accordance with the requirements of security work. Therefore, the importance of the field of forward-looking studies based on data analysis based on reality and trends of future events has increased.

In light of this, the prospective study, as a scientific field, aims to anticipate the requirements of security work systems in terms of future jobs and skills necessary to keep pace with the continuous changes as a result of rapid technological developments and modern technologies, by enhancing lifelong learning programs for the national workforce and designing skills development programs to be proactive in acquiring future skills. The study relied on the forward-looking approach by applying future research tools using the (Mini Delphi) method to obtain correct and profound conclusions about future developments and scenarios in accordance with the requirements of security work systems with the aim of identifying future job skills, which depend entirely on technology, smart transformation, and automation of security services and systems.

Essential Counselling Skills Needed For Helping Under-Achieve Succeed Among Secondary School Students

The study is carried out in Anambra state. The researchers adopted descriptive survey design for this study. A sample size of 147 Counsellors who are willing to participate in the study is drawn through accidental sampling techniques from the areas of their meetings. A four rated scale of strongly agreed, agreed, disagreed and strongly disagreed questionnaire developed by the researchers on Essential Counselling Skills Needed for Helping Under-achieve Succeed Among secondary school Students in Anambra State (QOECSSNFHUASSASSSIAS) is used for data collection. Test retest is used to establish the reliability coefficient of the instrument and the value is 0.80 which the researchers considered to be high enough for the study. On the spot administration of the instrument is adopted by the researchers to ensure a hundred percent return. The data collected is analyzed using the weighted arithmetic mean and ranking. The cutoff point regarding an item being in existence as in agreed or not agreed is 2.50. Any item that is below 2.50 is regarded as not being in existence and the result is presented in a table. Among other things the result revealed the following as some of the essential skills needed by professional counsellors for helping the under-achieved succeed in secondary schools: Communicating, tolerance, compassionate, Listening, note taking, empathic understanding, non-judgmental and stress management skills. The researchers recommended that Training needs of teacher-counsellors and career masters on counselling skills for helping students achieve their potentials in life for a better result since they also handle some of the students issues needs to be highlighted by the Secondary school Education Commission. And also, government should be funding such trainings so that lack of money will not prevent them from attending.
