Retail Business Development Using BSI Smart Agent Electronics: A Strategy for Increasing Sales Volume in Minimarket Businesses

This study aims to determine retail the business development strategy to increase sales volume. In this case, Minimarket Bintang Indah utilizes BSI Smart electronics as a strategy to increase sales volume. This research was conducted based on the qualitative paradigm strategy, and implementation model. This research uses a descriptive approach to be able to explain the phenomena that occur in the research subject, namely Bintang Indah Minimarket. Data collection was done by observation, interview, and documentation. Research results show that Minimarket is in a profitable position where the strengths it has are in line with the opportunities promised so that the strategy is implemented it’s right and can continue to support retail business development.

Effect of Computer Technology Adoption on Sales Volume in Selected Supermarkets in Kampala Central Division, Uganda

The study looked at the relationship between sales volume and the deployment of computer technology at a few specific supermarkets in Kampala’s central division. The specific goal was to look at how the use of computer technology affected the amount of sales in supermarkets. The research used a cross-sectional approach. Approaches that combined quantitative and qualitative methods were used. Data was collected from a sample of 80 respondents in 20 supermarkets in the central division of Kampala using questionnaires and interviews. Data were analyzed using descriptive, correlational, and regression techniques. The results suggested that adoption of computer technology boosts grocery sales. Conclusion: Adoption of computer technology improves operational efficiency, according to the respondents’ responses. However, there were a few areas that needed improvement so that efficiency would actually increase. It was advised that the owners of supermarkets purchase and employ improved accounting software, as well as effective monitoring systems and systems that can identify impending expirations and obsolescence and report them early so that action can be taken to prevent losses from expirations.

Survival Strategy Restaurant Business during the Covid-19 Pandemic

The occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic forced the entire community to adjust itself by implementing a new order of life known as the “new normal” in every activity. Likewise, restaurant businesses are not immune from the impact of the Covid- 19 pandemics, so adjustments must be made so that restaurants can continue to operate and customer health and safety-related to Covid-19 can be carried out properly and correctly. To increase the sales volume of its products, it can do several things, including Lower Menu Prices, Give Special Discounts, Create More Durable Food Packaging, Prepare Food Delivery, Restaurant Business Starts Switching to Use Technology, Communication Between Businesses & Customers, Perform Marketing Plans and Pay Attention to Current Culinary Trends. Meanwhile, to make the restaurant operational cost-efficient, several strategies can be carried out, including Designing Cost Control Measure (CCM), re-identifying budgeting short-term and long-term, prioritizing cash flow safe and stable, reorganizing or redesigning the largest expenditure, and planning a more efficient division of labor fair and impartial. Furthermore, to guarantee customer safety from being exposed to Covid-19, restaurants can do the following: Communicate Safety and sanitation measures clearly and consistently, Avoid self-served dishes, Advice to maintain distance, Make strict rules regarding the use of masks on staff and diners, Offers waiting list and online pre-order facilities, Continues to offer no-contact options, Competes aggressively with retail options, Offers packaged dining options in the long term, Performs clear and systematic cleaning.
