Principal Leadership on Teacher Performance: A Literature Review

The importance of principals’ leadership practices in teacher performance is interesting to study. The purpose of this literature is to analyze the principal’s leadership practices in teacher performance. The articles used in this literature review were obtained using the Google Scholar database by entering the keyword “leadership leadership”. There is some literature on principals’ leadership in teacher performance found. Results Based on a literature study from various countries in the world, it was found that the principal’s leadership style can improve teacher performance and can increase teacher commitment to the organization.

Implementation of Principal Transformational Leadership and Independent Learning Policy in Improving Education Quality: A Literature Review

The search ranges from 2015 – 2020. Most of the research results indicate that the principal transformational leadership plays an important role in shaping the quality of education in implementing independent learning education policies. First, the articles reviewed were in English, so other studies were not reviewed due to limitations in the context of several countries. Second, dissertations and theses were not discussed in this article because they could cause publication bias in the results. Third, the scope of the articles reviewed is still limited. Implementation of principal transformational leadership free learning policy in improving the quality of education can be used for various organizations in various countries.

Transformational Principal Leadership on Teacher Performance: A Literature Review

The principal as an educational leader in school institutions has an important role in advancing the educational institutions he leads. The success or failure of educational institutions is strongly influenced by the ability of the principal as a leader to be able to carry out his duties, one of which is helping teachers in improving their performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of transformational leadership on teacher performance. This study uses a literature review. The result of this discussion is the role of transformational leadership causes a teacher to work more enthusiastically and focused, so that the teaching and learning process becomes transformative for every teacher.

Transformational and Instructional Leadership Styles to Improve Teacher Performance: Literature Review

The importance of transformational and instructional leadership styles of principals is interesting to study. There are several articles on Transformational and Instructional leadership style reviews found. This literature review aims to determine the transformational and instructional leadership styles of school principals to improve teacher performance. Based on the results of the literature review, it was found that there was a significant relationship between the transformational leadership style and the principal’s instructional style to improve teacher performance, which was seen from the increase in teacher performance and teacher job satisfaction in schools. The results of the review article show a significant relationship between transformational and instructional leadership styles in improving teacher performance in schools. There is a positive relationship between transformational and instructional leadership styles and can have a positive and significant influence on teacher behavior and teacher job satisfaction. Principal’s Transformational and Instructional Leadership is one of the factors that encourage schools to achieve goals actively and efficiently.

Situational Leadership Practices in School: A Literature Review

The importance of situational leadership practices in schools is interesting to study. The purpose of this literature review is to analyze situational leadership practices in schools. There are several literature reviews on situational leadership in schools that were found. Based on the results of literature studies from various countries in the world, it was found that situational leadership style can develop work motivation, improve teacher performance and can increase teacher commitment to the organization.

Principal’s Leadership Style Based on Path-Goal Theory: A Literature Review

The importance of the principal’s leadership style based on the Path-Goal Theory is interesting to study, and this paper examines the principal’s leadership style based on the Path-Goal Theory in achieving educational goals in schools. There are several articles on reviews of leadership styles based on Path-Goal Theory that can be found. This review aims to find out the principal’s leadership style based on path-goal theory in achieving educational goals in schools. Based on the literature review results, we found a significant relationship between the principal’s leadership style based on Path-Goal Theory in achieving educational goals in schools, which could be seen from the increase in teacher performance and teacher job satisfaction in school administration staff. The article review results showed a significant correlation between the principal’s leadership style based on the directive, supportive, participatory, and achievement-oriented leadership style on the level of performance and job satisfaction of teachers and administrative staff in schools. This is not underestimated from the influence of the principal’s leadership style based on PathGoal Theory in directing and motivating his followers in achieving educational goals at school.

Do the Transformation Leadership Style have a Massive Influence on Teacher Job Satisfaction?

In school organizations, principals and teachers have a very important role. This study aims to determine the effect of the principal’s transformational leadership style on teacher job satisfaction. The population in this study was a junior high school teacher in Lampung province, Indonesia. The research sample was determined randomly. Data collection uses questionnaires distributed to teachers. Data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, simple linear regression and T-test. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the transformational leadership style does not affect teacher job satisfaction with a 95% confidence level. Then, based on the results of the T-test, there was no difference in the satisfaction of teacher job between male and female teachers.
