Improving Remote Leadership on PT. XYZ Business Development Expansion Team

This study analyzes and enhances the effectiveness of remote leadership within PT. XYZ’s Business Development Expansion team, crucial to the company’s growth. Despite PT. XYZ’s expansion beyond Jabodetabek, the remotely managed business development team’s performance has lagged compared to the directly managed Jabodetabek team. Using the DMAIC framework, this research identifies and addresses inefficiencies in remote leadership. Data was collected through interviews and company documents, employing methods such as fishbone analysis and the 5 Whys technique. Key findings indicate issues in leadership and management, tools and technology, and skills and impact. Problems include the absence of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), lack of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), poor integration with support divisions, centralized data management, complex products, inadequate training, and lack of an integrated system for remote operations. The study recommends creating comprehensive SOPs, establishing specific KPIs, improving communication with support departments, decentralizing data management, simplifying product offerings, conducting regular training, and implementing an integrated management system to enhance remote leadership practices.

Star-Up Business Development in an Effort to Increase Competitiveness: A Development Research

This research uses a qualitative approach in the form of descriptive research by applying the 4D development model. The main aim of this research is to increase the competitiveness of the Patas Tactical Makassar fashion business. The research was conducted from December to February, with the research location at the Makassar Fashion Patas Tactical business. The object of research is the business, while research subjects include owners, leaders, employees, consumers and regular customers. The research focus is on developing business models by applying the elements of Discovery, Dreaming, Design, and Destiny. Data collection methods used include observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that Fashion Patas Tactical has succeeded in developing their business through a structured start-up-based approach, with four main phases: Dreaming, Design, Delivery, and Destiny. The company has set an ambitious vision and implemented targeted strategies to create a strong foundation for sustainable growth. Focusing on product quality, innovation, superior customer service and sustainability are the main pillars in their business journey. Thus, research shows that Fashion Patas Tactical has succeeded in building a strong and strategic foundation to face market challenges and achieve sustainable growth in the fashion industry.

 

Collaborative B2B Business Development with Regulator and Universities: A Case Study of Glodon Indonesia

Implementation Building Information Modeling (BIM) is aimed to create an effective, efficient and accountable construction process through the application of digital construction technology. This thesis takes PT Glodon Technical Indonesia as a case study, which indicates an empirical study of a company that provides a BIM technology for construction services industry in Indonesia. This study analyzes the role of regulators and universities in the business development of a technology company with B2B (Business to Business) products. This paper discusses the company’s situation, marketing methods, strategic collaboration and market coverage. Then analyzed through the impact of government regulations, strategic cooperation with regulators and capacity building with universities. Lastly, based on an analysis of the goals and options of corporate strategic planning, this study puts forward the strategic direction of business development collaboration with regulators and universities.

Optimizing Risk Mitigation Analysis of Business Development Division (Case Study: Urban Transportation Division at PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero)

The community can use various alternative modes of transportation, and the train is still the choice for most Indonesian people. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), the object of this research, has 2 main businesses, namely the railroad and the non-railroad businesses. A company’s business processes do not stop until the company benefits from the business it does, but in this highly complex and interconnected world, the risk is everywhere. Risk management is an important discipline for companies, institutions, and society in today’s modern business world. Risk management is carried out based on the ISO 31000:2018 framework. This research will discuss optimizing risk mitigation strategies as a tool for the business development division to provide effectiveness and how to implement these solutions in the real world. Sources in this study came from secondary data such as annual reports, audited financial reports, and project studies in the Urban Transportation Business Development Division of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), discussions, and interviews with related parties. Some of the tools used in this study are PEST to analyze external companies, McKinsey 7S Framework to analyze external companies, and the Enterprises’ Risk Management method for the risk management process. Managing risk through optimizing risk mitigation can reduce and minimize loss exposure. Based on the risk matrix score results, the company can take risk treatment, whether the risk must be mitigated or accepted. The risk level score from the risk matrix is used to make underwriter decisions in the risk acceptance process at the Business Development Division of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero).
