Revolutionizing DevOps Security: AI and ML-Enabled Automated Testing Approaches

In modern DevOps environments, the integration of security practices poses significant challenges due to the fast-paced nature of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Traditional security testing methods are usually too slow and reactive to address vulnerabilities effectively in such dynamic settings. To overcome these challenges, organizations are increasingly adopting automated security testing solutions that leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). This paper discusses AI and ML capabilities in automating security testing during DevOps. It talks about how these technologies can improve security by enabling real-time threat detection, reducing false positives, and adapting to new vulnerabilities through continuous learning. Key AI/ML-based tools and techniques, along with their integration into DevOps workflows, are also discussed in detail. It also covers the integration challenges and the potential of AI/ ML in security testing in the coming years.

An Investigation of the Effects of Mask-Wearing on Confidence Levels of Young People to Middle Age in Bangkok Metropolitan Region

The COVID-19 pandemic necessitated widespread mask-wearing to prevent disease transmission. Initial studies indicated that 89% of the Thai population wore masks, rising to 96% when mandated. Even after the pandemic, mask-wearing persisted due to factors beyond health concerns. This research examines the phenomenon of “Mask Fishing,” where individuals believe masks enhance their attractiveness, a trend popularized on TikTok. The study explores the psychological impacts of mask-wearing, including increased confidence and reduced self-esteem. Additionally, masks have been found to improve perceived facial attractiveness, particularly enhancing the appearance of eyes. This study investigates these hidden factors, focusing on how mask-wearing affects personal confidence, communication, and facial expressions.

Contribution to the Study of the Chemical and Microstructural Quality of Reinforcing Bars in DR. Congo “Case of the City of Lubumbashi”

: This research highlights the contribution to the study of the microstructural quality of reinforcing bars on the Lubumbashi market including bars imported from South Africa (FA), Zambia (FZ) and those produced locally ( FC) by the only steel industry, in the former province of Katanga, the iron processing company SOTRAFER, in acronym.

The samples of the locally produced reinforcement bars (FC) were collected at SOTRAFER at the end of production, while the samples of the FA and FZ reinforcement bars were taken randomly on the Lushois market in a hardware store specializing in sales to avoid errors.Microstructural analysis of all bars revealed a similar microstructure consisting of a ferrite (light areas) and pearlite (dark areas) matrix and a ferrito-pearlitic structure. This microstructure, as predicted by the Fe-C equilibrium diagram, could be justified by the carbon content (lower than the eutectoid point content); the results prove that all bars are hypoeutectoid steels (%C ≤ 0.77). They can also be assimilated to the category of mild steels (0.1 ≤ %C ≤ 0.25). This also shows that all the bars have not undergone a particular heat treatment and have been cooled very slowly in order to allow the diffusion of atoms and reach equilibrium conditions. The results obtained from the variance analyses of different materials of dimensions of 10, 12 and 16 mm revealed that at the level of chemical and mechanical analyses, there was no significant difference on all the parameters studied and that all the reinforcement bars could perfectly be used in construction. Finally, the survey reveals that FA is reputed to be of better quality among consumers, for several reasons including the psychological one although its price is lower than that produced locally.

Gender Norms, Attitudes and Perceptions towards Male Involvement in Maternal Health in Kafue District, Lusaka

Male involvement in maternal health remains a major issue despite efforts by the international community. Despite the many benefits of male involvement in antenatal care there has been an observed low participation. Community gender norms, attitudes and perceptions towards male involvement in maternal health may affect the utilization of services offered by health facilities. The gap observed in many studies is that the attitude and perception of men regarding maternal health have largely been neglected. Therefore, this study sought to investigate the gender norms, attitudes and perceptions towards male involvement in maternal health in Kafue district of Zambia. The study adopted a descriptive research design. Both quantitative and qualitative paradigms were utilized in this study. A sample of 150 participants was used. Data was collected by the help of questionnaire and in-depth interviews.

Results showed that respondents from Kafue were knowledgeable on antenatal care. Additionally, it was also revealed that respondents had a positive attitude towards male involvement in maternal health. However, due to gender norms their roles were limited when it came to delivery and child care. Nevertheless, the findings showed that men were involved in supporting their wives and helping out with house chores and providing money for antenatal care, skilled birth at a hospital, postnatal care, childcare and any necessities required for delivery. Men who were married were more likely to be involved in maternal health than men who were not married. The study also revealed that men were not comfortable with discussing their wives’ pregnancy with a health care provider due to lack of privacy. Findings suggested that there were many factors affecting male involvement in maternal health. Lack of messages and programs targeting men, health stuff attitude during delivery, gender norms such as men not being allowed to attend to women when in labor and hospital infrastructure were identified by the respondents as a cause to low male involvement. In this study, it was also revealed that men and women had a positive perception towards pregnancy being a shared responsibility, men supporting and caring for their wives during and after delivery. However, both men and women had a negative perception towards men’s presence in the delivery ward.

Enhancing Conceptual Understanding of Electricity and Magnetism through VR Simulations

The study explores the efficacy of Virtual Reality (VR) simulations in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding of electricity and magnetism, using the Labster platform. Traditional teaching methods often need to adequately convey the complexities of these topics, leading to limited student engagement and poor comprehension. The research compares two groups: one receiving traditional instruction and another using VR-based simulations. The study found that students in the experimental group, who used VR simulations, showed a 35% improvement in post-test scores, compared to a 15% improvement in the control group. The VR group also reported higher levels of engagement and found abstract concepts such as electric fields and circuits easier to understand through interactive, immersive learning environments. Teachers noted that VR aided in visualizing difficult concepts, although challenges included a learning curve in technology usage and the need for proper integration into curriculum. The findings suggest that VR, when used as a supplemental tool, has the potential to significantly improve learning outcomes in physics education. However, the study highlights the need for further research into long-term impacts and accessibility issues and strategies to better integrate VR into traditional teaching methods.

The Effectiveness of Deep Breathing Exercise Therapy on Oxygen Saturation among Patients with Ischemic Stroke

Ischemic stroke is an abnormality of central nervous system function in which blood flow decreases significantly, causing hypoxia. This systemic hypoxemia should be avoided; therefore oxygen saturation is monitored in the acute phase. One of the interventions that can be done in order to increase oxygen supply is by deep breathing exercise. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of deep breathing exercise therapy to increase oxygen saturation on patients with ischemic stroke. This study is a quasi-experimental study with one group pre-posttest design that has been implemented in the neural room of RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang with a sample of 16 patients with ischemic stroke who have fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Data was collected directly by measuring oxygen saturation of patients with ischemic stroke before and after a deep breathing exercise intervention. The data were processed by computer and analyzed as univariate and bivariate. Normality test results show the data is not normally distributed so that the analysis used is non-parametric test by using Wilcoxon test. The results showed that deep breathing exercise therapy was effective in increasing oxygen saturation level of patients with ischemic stroke with p = 0,000 so it can be recommended that this therapy can be used as one of the nursing interventions on patients with ischemic stroke to increase the oxygen saturation level.
