Scan Chain Stitching based on Logic Topology for Test-Power Reduction under Routing Constraint

Scan architecture is a widely used design modification for testability in ASICs to obtain good test coverage. But during the process of scan testing, power consumption is much higher than in functional mode of operation, as all the flops in the design switch during scan shift operations (shift-in and shift-out). The heat generated from high power dissipation can destroy the chip, cause reliability problems, or induce noise. Sometimes the problem of wrong response due to overheating may arise, causing yield loss. For these reasons, test power reduction is a topic for research. Though there are several scan shift power optimization techniques used in practice, scan chain stitching techniques based on logic topology proposed in the recent years address both shift-in and shift-out powers. Conceptually, the techniques likely cause routing congestion and therefore applying the techniques under a routing constraint could be an optimal solution is the proposal presented in this paper.

Impact of Capital Structure on Firm Performance of Food and Beverage Listed Companies on the Stock Exchange of Vietnam

This study tested the relationship between capital structure and firm performance. Data were collected from 41 food and beverage companies listed on the Vietnam Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2021. Three variables were used to measure the performance of each company, including ROA, ROE and EPS. The ratio of total debt to total assets (DA), total debt to total equity (DE), short-term debt to total assets (SDTA) and long-term debt to total assets (LDTA) are the key factors. for capital structure. Besides, growth rate (GROWTH) and company size (SIZE) are also applied in the model as control variables. As a result, most of the capital structure variables have a negative effect on each of the firm’s performance variables. It is noteworthy that this study also illustrates the negative correlation between ROE and capital structure shown, which was thought to be insignificant in many previous studies but also shows a negligible relationship between SDTA and SDTA. Moreover, ROE was rarely seen in previous studies. Furthermore, the research results also show a negligible impact on growth rate and a positive relationship between size and firm performance.

Strategic Investment Analysis for the Gas Station Projects Using Build Operate and Transfer (Case Study: PT Pertamina, Besakih Bali)

One of deployment planning from Pertamina is Besakih area in Bali. In this simple requirement, Pertamina need a further study to plan which type of gas stations will be implemented, COCO (Company Own Compant Operate) or DODO (Dealer Own Dealer Operate). COCO was found to be the viable option because DODO facing a major challenge based on the PESTLE and SWOT which is an issue related to government attitude towards greener technology such as electric vehicle.  A several options for funding have been identified and well documented with several restrictions which are equity, loan, venture capital, and build operate transfer. If Pertamina need a new gas stations in terms of only 20% coming from capital (80% loan). Pertamina is not entitled to fund by venture capital as Pertamina is a state own company with rigid regulation. For the deployment of new gas station, the most expensive part is the land, therefore searching the solution through land funding is the most viable option. It was found that the strategy build, operate, and transfer (BOT) is a very interesting option. For the Pertamina, it erases the necessity for buying the land, on the other hand, for the land owner, it is better that their land could be useful for them in the next 15 years before they are getting all the facility transferred. The payback period is only 3,36 years with the IRR of 27,03% which is higher than the WACC. In case of Pertamina taking 80% loan and 20% equity, the NPV will return in the 5th year in start of the investment or 4th year in start of the operation. This strategy opens up new opportunities and solution for the business because it writes out land CAPEX necessity.
